‘Envelope’, a monumental ephemeral sculpture, was lying on the floor in front of me like a vast sea of possibilities. I was waiting for the cycle to confirm the persistence of change. In the quietness of Fonderie Darling, I wanted the fan to re-launch and make the balloon fill the spacious room. I questioned myself: ‘Are we as a society mere observers of life?’, ‘Do we feel comfortable with this ‘observer’ position?’ ‘How comfortable are we as observers?’ ‘Are we dreamers of doers?’... ‘Is the world that we yearn for only a utopia?’ +
