Claire Desjardins: GOT GALLERY?

Claire Desjardin’s paintings are bold, vibrant and speak to us.
Her palette has hot sunny colors: orange, yellow, red.  She combines them with tones of blue, black and white the result is the expression through color and composition of the artist’s soul.
This year Claire got introduced to the Vermont art scene when she and her parents, Jane & Pierre Desjardins, participated at the Taste of Stowe Art Festival. She was one of the featured artists and people fell in love with her artwork.
How not to fall in love about the passion that Claire expresses on her paintings?
The communication between the artist and the canvas is but one of the things you can feel when visiting her show. The forms and color flow easily on her hand, they take you to the place where she ‘goes’ when painting. “It's all a recipe to evoke whatever dormant feeling I have inside of me, at the time of creation. There's a ‘thing’ that happens, and when it does, I know the chemistry is working, between me and the canvas” says Desjardins.
Claire Desjardins gives it all in a painting “my ‘favorites’ change regularly. It depends on what I'm experiencing in my life at the time... New experiences, new ideas, new ways of looking at the same things,” says the artist. When painting she discovers a different energy in her work. Her artwork flows in a wonderful way.
In Claire’s future is the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont. She is heading there in Spring 2011 for a month-long fellowship where she will be able to further explore creative possibilities
